Welcome

THORO Interactive is a new computer game development and content creation studio headed by myself, Thoro. Focused on creating engaging interactive content, I will soon begin releasing games, videos, music, and physical craft tutorials in many forms, prioritizing player/viewer/client enjoyment and value. Read on to see what this studio will offer and what each field will entail.

THORO Interactive believes that player enjoyment, freedom, and expression are paramount.

Primarily, this studio exists as a platform to create games and similarly interactive experiences. Sometimes they'll be short and confined games focusing on specific topics, and other times they'll be larger and more dynamic pieces, often comedy-focused for the sake of fun. They'll incorporate both couch and online multiplayer when relevant, and in such cases will always put player enjoyment over competition and victory. They'll usually account for speedrun potential as well, whenever that challenge would be enjoyable. All of this, along with plenty of attention to detail, thorough testing with modular and clean programming, creative art styles, low performance requirements, and afforable prices. Gaming should be fun, encourage exploration and out-of-the-box thinking, and be accessible to as many players as possible, and THORO Interactive is specifically focused on those goals.

In the future, part of this website will serve as a guidebook/cookbook for a few different game-oriented scripting languages, such as C# and GLSL, to give viewers a quick and straightforward reference for a variety of functions and topics. These will range from listing and explaining built-in functions, parameter types, and methods for different languages, to shortform tutorials of how to achieve certain functionalities. From vector math to procedural visual shaders, I want to create a quick and easy reference to help you with your programming projects.

On the flipside of digital creations is physical crafts. And while this website will cover some more-traditional crafts, it will primarily focus on 3D printing, specifically printer adjustment and mechanical principles. Similar to the programming guidebook mentioned above, I want this site to function as a simple reference to help you isolate and fix printing issues, and find new ideas to implement into your prints to make your projects simpler and more functional.

And, at (in my opinion) a perfect crossroads between 3D modeling for games and printing alike, is Blender. Primarily intended as a free and open-source CAD program for games and CGI, I think it's a stellar tool for any modeling project, no matter the scope, all without ever spending a penny. In the future, I'll provide a vast guide about modeling various types of geometry, and making print-ready models easily (and with vastly more-efficient model topography than you'll see from many other CAD methods). Blender is absolutely not a tool to overlook, and you can see every game asset and 3D printing file across my projects as evidence.
